PERI wins Office Excellence Award 2019

23.1.2020

Overall victory and winner in "Best Improvement Programme"

PERI GmbH has received the Office Excellence Award 2019. With this award, companies are honoured for extraordinary success in the implementation of measures to increase efficiency in the office area. In recent years, Volkswagen, Daimler, Viessmann and Schmitz Cargobull were among the winning companies.

PERI was able to assert itself against a large number of other companies in a tough competition and, in addition to the overall victory, also won the individual category "Best Improvement Programme" with a historic best value. The annual prize, awarded by Macils Management Agency, was presented last Tuesday in Weissenhorn.

In the presence of over 110 representatives of medium-sized and large companies, the Managing Director for Production & Supply Chain Leonhard Braig and Alexander Steck, Head of Supply Chain Management at the Weissenhorn plant, accepted the award. "We are pleased that we convinced the jury with our measures for process improvement and increased efficiency - such as the anchoring of our "Best in Class" work system and cascading shop floor management. The Office Excellence Award 2019 is reward and confirmation that our activities to increase efficiency are effective not only in production but also in the office area and that we are on the right track. At the same time, the award is an incentive for the future to continue improving ourselves on a daily basis," says Leonhard Braig.

As winner of the "Office Excellence Award", PERI was also hosted a Best Practice event for which managing directors, managers and employees of well-known companies such as Daimler, Siemens and Bosch came to the headquarter in Weissenhorn. In numerous workshops and presentations during the two-day event, the participants gained insights into how PERI has anchored lean principles and the Best in Class System in the office area and were able to exchange experiences. "We are pleased that we were able to provide the participating company representatives with valuable impulses for their change work and that our successfully implemented Best in Class work system was very well received", explained Alexander Steck, Head of Supply Chain Management at the Weissenhorn plant. In addition, all participants were introduced to the newly opened training and technology centre as well as given an insight into PERI’s digital products.
